We think Mav was predestined to be a stylist in Texas when his mom bestowed that wonderful moniker on him and we’d like to believe she decreed, “You shall be named Mav and you will create beautiful hair in the great state of Texas.” Because, don’t we all want to be able to say, “I have an appoint with Mav today to have my highlights freshened up.”? All kidding aside, most of us are just beginning to figure ourselves out at our late teens/early 20’s, but when Mav graduated from high school, he knew exactly what he wanted to do and hit the ground running. You see, Mav learned early on how much of a confidence boost a great cut and color could provide, because he experienced it himself in those awkward teen years. With those grounding experiences, he committed to delivering that same feeling to each of his clients. After training at Paull Mitchell in Dallas, Mav quickly established himself in the north Dallas area and specializes in our favorites – extensions and blondes. Mav is a proud Painted Manes co-owner & team member, and loves being part of a group of people who are innovative, accepting, and willing to support each other and our client base. He’s also a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and is glad his salon home is in sync with his believe system. When we think of Mav we think Lady Gaga’s description of Ryan Murphy could easily be placed on him – “talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show-stopping, spectacular, never the same.” A maverick for sure.

If your appointment is cancelled with notice within 24 hours you will be automatically charged 50% of your booked service. A portion of that fee will be put towards your rescheduled appointment. If you no show your appointment without notice, you will be automatically charged 100% of your booked service. At the stylist’s discretion, the stylist will ban you from booking any future appointments with Mav’s Manes. If you are late, a $25 charge will be added to the service that day. At 15 mins past our appointment time you will have to reschedule and be charged 50% of the booked service.
